We are proud to present our new catalog of quality blueberry plants. J.R.T. Nurseries Inc. started sixteen years ago as a 5 acre, family-run farm. As the blueberry industry continues to expand and grow, so has our farm and nursery. We operated in Canada until 2004 and then expanded our operations into the United States. We still operate as a family farm but have grown steadily and our farm and nursery now encompass over 500 acres. Blueberry farming requires a substantial amount of investment and a lot of hard work. It can all be useless if you do not start with healthy, disease-free nursery stock.

Everyone knows the health benefits of blueberries (antioxidants, anti-ageing, disease prevention, and nutritional value) with new medical benefits being discovered each year. Coupled with the goal of the Canadian Food Guide of increasing fruit and vegetable consumption to 5 to 10 servings per day, blueberries are quickly becoming the fruit of choice for many consumers.

We understand the importance of quality and are committed to providing our customers with the finest quality plants at the best possible prices. We take all the cuttings from our healthy, virus-tested mother stock and propagate them in a strict disease-free environment. In addition to conventional propagation, we now also tissue culture the blueberry plants in our new state-of-the art lab. The growers have the choice to order plants propagated by tissue culture or hardwood or softwood cuttings. We base our business on the principles of plant quality and superior customer service.
